Steam turbine originally designed to be used to drive a compressor, but can be used to drive other machines.
Dresser Rand Series ET-186, Five Rateau stages. Normal speed is 6540 rpm, max. speed is 6760 rpm. First critical speed is 2900 rpm, second critical speed is 7800 rpm. Speed regulation is by a Woodward governor, model 505E.
The turbine has the following alarms/shutdowns; Over speed, Emergency valve, solenoid valve, Low oil pressure, and high input steam pressure.
Requires 63 gpm cooling water for oil cooler. Complete pressurized oil system operating at 116 psig. Size of turbine alone is 9’ x 6’ x 7’ at 14,000 lbs.
Wet Gas Compressor Radial Split case two stage compressor motor through a Lufin gear reducer
The Datum compressor is an 18 frame size(inside case diameter) with a radial split case, six impellers and a back to back rotor design. The machine features a lube skid that supports the compressor, motor and gear, a gas skid for the double Dry Gas seals, and instrumentation for vibration and temperature detection.

Centrifugal compressor with eight impellers Inlet pressure 358 psia, inlet temperature 50 degrees F. This compressor has an average compressibility factor of 1.013 Cooling water temperature is 85 degrees F, and after intercooling is 100 degrees the first critical speed is 5,400 rpm. The compressor rpm is 10,440, with a bhp of 8228 Up connected intake and discharge flanges, the suction is 10" and the discharge is 8" . The case design pressure is 1000 psi for the inlet and discharge. This compressor has a common lube system with other pieces in the train and two ring oil seals. Originally driven by a steam turbine (not included).
